Kwan Dermatology • Rebranding – New Logo Design

Under the direction of the marketing team, Spotlight’s graphic design department created a new logo and color palette as part of the rebranding of William Kwan MD’s dermatology practice, located in the Tiffany building in San Francisco’s Union Square. As a thought leader in ethnic skincare, the Spotlight team recognized the value of sharing Dr. Kwan’s expertise in the public eye. The practice was rebranded as “Kwan Dermatology” to shift the marketing focus to include Dr. Kwan’s team of hand-selected providers. Not only does Dr. Kwan specialize in ethnic skin, the practice is located in a market where 40% of the population is Asian, which is why the logo was designed with an Asian flare. The teal in the logo was selected because blue is the most trusted color and trust is critical in cosmetic medical care. The brightness of the blue was chosen to reflect the practice’s modern, state-of-the-art laser technology.
